The carcass of the box is figured African Mahogany. I have kept the grain pattern contiguous around the box. The 45 degree joints have biscuits and maple splines for strength. The Birdseye Maple top is flush with the top of the box, hidden hinges are used to secure the top. A finger lift protrudes past the front of the box. There is a hidden compartment below the Leopard wood tray. Maple dividers in the tray are removable. The box is finished with 5 coats of natural Danish Oil and 3 coats of paste wax.
