Each purse is custom made from a used cigar box.  Most cigar box purse on the market have their logo upside down when the purse is carried by the handle, and logo inside correctly orientated when the purse is opened. Notice the logo is upright when the purse is carried by its handle.  I have removed the stock hinges and replaced and them with stronger brass hinges.  I have also reversed the orientation of the hinges in order to achieve the logo being upright.  Since the inside of the purse is rarely seen, I have opted to have the outside logo orientated correctly.  I have also replaced the clasps with stronger brass clasp.  Each purse is lined with felt and is fitted with a custom bead handle to match the color and design of the box.  I have kept all the stickers and seal that were original with the cigar box, except for the Surgeon Generals warning.  Each box is finished inside and out with 2 coats of natural Danish Oil.  I then apply 3 coats of a satin polyurethane to the outside to protect the wood.  Dimensions of the purses are unique to the type of cigar box used.  Own a unique cigar box purse.
