The sides of the sushi box are Cherry.  The top and drawer fronts are Wenge.  Notice the inlay of Wenge, Splatted Sycamore, Bloodwood and Purple Heart on the drawer handles and front sides of the box.  Lift the top lid to expose the sushi trays and chopstick rests.  The bottom drawer stores the chopsticks. The drawers are made from Cherry with Wenge splines on the 45-degree miter joints.  Drawers are line in felt.   The sushi plates are made of Maple/Mahogany feet or Mahogany/Maple feet.  All plates are treated with food safe varnish.  The chopstick and chopstick rest are commercially made.  The finish is high a gloss polyurethane and hand rubbed with paste wax.  Truly a one of kind piece of functional art.  Additional photos can be sent via email if more details are desired.
