NGC 7000 North American Nebula in Hubble Palette
The North American Nebula is an emisson nebula (nebula formed of ionized gases from high-energy ultraviolet photons emitted from a nearby hot star) in the constellation Cygnus. It is approximately 2,590 light years from earth. This image was captured in my backyard with a telescope and dedicated astrophotography camera. Check out the variations of colors as I processed this image twice.

Optolong L-extreme narrowband filter
ZWO AM5 mount
Imaging data:
Lights: 175 x 5-minute exposures, 175 x 2-minute exposures
Darks: 59 x 5-minutes exposures, 20 x 2-minute exposers
Flats and Dark Flats: 100 exposures
