Woods: Walnut, Maple, Red Oak

This is an end grain cutting board where the wood fibers are facing up, except for the walnut boarder. End grain cutting boards last longer because the knife blades cut down into the grain instead of across the grain. The cutting board dimensions are 12” x 9” x ¾”. The board has been soaked in food grade mineral oil for 2 hours, dried and treated with a food grade conditioner of mineral oil and bee’s wax. The bottom of the cutting board has rubber feet secured with stainless steel screws.
